Shear Wave Testing for Seismic Design:
Recent changes in the International Building Code adopted by most local governing bodies requires the geotechnical engineer to determine the site seismic classification. This analysis can have a significant impact on the structural design costs for a building project. TTL can perform a geophysical analysis of the shallow subsurface soils that can frequently allow an improvement of the code requirements, thus effecting a more economical structural design, and in many cases allow an owner to realize a substantial saving in construction costs.
