    Description:

    Perform the following engineering tasks and duties under the direction, supervision, and subject to review by a registered professional engineer: testing of soils and materials for estimation of the adequacy and strength of building foundations, retaining structures, bridges, and culverts; slope stability analysis; evaluation of project feasibility through estimates of the quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor; analysis of survey reports, maps, drawings and other topographical and geological data; engineering evaluation of load and grade requirements; planning and design of transportation systems and structures in accordance with construction and government standards; preparation of proposals based on detailed technical assessment and determination of the projects’ scope and price; preparation of geotechnical reports.

  • PROFESSIONAL GEOLOGIST

    Montgomery, AL

     

    Minimum Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in Geology required; Master’s degree in Geology preferred

    Alabama P.G. license required

    5 or more years of experience in Environmental consulting preferred

    Minimum Education and Experience:
    BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management.
    2+ years of construction management preferred, but not required.

  • GEOTECHNICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DRILLER

    Location:

    San Antonio, TX

     

    Requirements:

    Class A CDL

    Acceptable driving record

    Minimum of 5 years geotechnical and environmental drilling experience in the following methods: hollow-stem augering, wet rotary, air rotary, and rock coring.

  • CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TECHNICIAN

    Requirements:

    ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification

    Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. College coursework or degree preferred. Emphasis in physical sciences and/or math.

    Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing

    Good driving record

    Perform heavy lifting up to 50+ lbs

    Possess sufficient stamina to work in outdoor (hot & cold) environment

     

    Testing experience in soil, concrete, earthwork, and asphalt is strongly desired. Inspection experience and/or ACI/ICC/NICET certifications (reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel, etc) is strongly desired.

     

    Description:

    Performs routine field and laboratory tests and inspections for the purpose of verifying conformance to construction plans and specifications.

    Monitors, observes, and samples the materials used in construction work.

    Follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintains cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.

    Prepares daily reports and data sheets. Operates with close to moderate supervision.

    Typical activities include, but are not limited to: observation and monitoring of backfilling of subgrades, installation of reinforcing, fresh concrete sampling, base stone, and asphalt densities.

  • ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN

    Location:

    TUSCALOOSA, AL

     

    Minimum Education and Experience:

    Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. College coursework or degree preferred. Emphasis in physical sciences and/or math.

    1-3 years of previous experience as an Environmental Technician OR recent college graduate.

    Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing.

    Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

    Experience with AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS.

    Ability to travel overnight, extended on occasions.

    Good driving record

    Physical Fitness: perform heavy lifting up to 50+ lbs; possess sufficient stamina to work in outdoor (hot & cold) environment; be certified to wear a respirator

    Possess mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment and remediation systems

    Preferred: OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

     

    Description:

    Performs routine field environmental sampling of groundwater, storm water soil, etc.

    Monitors, observes, samples, and records field environmental conditions.

    Performs maintenance on remediation systems.

    Follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintains cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.

    Prepares daily reports and data sheets. Operates with close to moderate supervision.

    Typical activities include, but are not limited to: map reading, maintain chain-of-custody forms, utilize equipment to measure field parameters, environmental site inspections, field inspections or drilling access and general utility clearance.

     

  • (ENTRY-LEVEL) MATERIALS TECHNICIAN
