Minimum Education and Experience:
BS or MS (preferred) in Civil Engineering specializing in geotechnical engineering
10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience (preferred in Texas)
7+ years of progressive project management experience
Experience with expansive soils, soft soils, shallow and deep foundations, design of retaining walls, soil laboratory testing and field experience related to earthwork activities
Texas P.E. license
Effective communication and organizational skills
Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Project Management: Safety, cost estimating, proposal preparation, develop and plan investigations, monitoring project schedules to meet deadlines, cost control, project invoicing and contract review.
Engineering: Ability to identify geotechnical engineering issues and present multiple effective solutions in a written report or on engineering construction plans. Perform and review geotechnical design calculations and prepare construction plans.
